This is a little experiment to crowdsource information on the area you think different cities cover, in addition to a little information on how long you've lived there - if at all. Zoom in or out if you need to and then click 'Start Mapping' in the top left of the screen.
Sometimes official city boundaries extend far beyond the urban fabric, and sometimes they don't include very much of it at all. I want to see what people consider to be part of their city, or not. All the drawn boundaries on this site come from your contributions.
I've put links to four cities at the top, but you can zoom anywhere in the world and draw your own city. Please feel free to do more than one.
No personal information is stored and it's completely anonymous. I'm just doing this as a little urban experiment after seeing Colin Ross do it for Western Sydney (which was inspired by earlier Bostonography work). I'll leave this running for a few weeks and then collate the results on my blog.

Please don't flag a city shape if you simply disagree with the border or description..
Only flag content that is offensive or just plain wrong. Flagged content may be temporarily removed. Once reviewed it will either be reinstated if found to be flagged in error, or remain hidden if found to be junk. Thanks!
You are about to download the entire city boundaries shapefile. It contains all polygons, including those that have been flagged as junk or inappropriate. Those items can be identified where the flag field=true. There are some great things to map here, so if you get the data, please feel free to let me know what you do with it.
